Lo conoscevo già, lo ammetto, di certo non posso dire di non aver mai letto di Richard Scarry nei miei studi, ma ora l’ ho conosciuto, veramente, con gli occhi di una mamma che legge i libri al suo bambino e da qui ne ho capito veramente la forza…
Chiusi in casa da una ventina di giorni causa influenza, grazie alla biblioteca sotto casa, ho ripreso in mano il più classico degli illustratori per l’infanzia e: WOW!
Non mi era mai capitato di divertirmi tanto nel leggere libri per bambini, quanta ironia, che disegno acuto, che spirito d’osservazione di un mondo fantastico… certe descrizioni ci hanno fatto scoppiare in grandi risate e, diciamo la verità, quanto bisogna essere sagaci per fare sorridere bambini ed adulti assieme???

ma prossimamente leggerò di tutto e di più su Sgobbonia e Felicittà, le due città immaginarie che quest’autore ha creato, quindi mi aspetto altre sorprese.
Se poi penso che, il tutto, nasce da una sola matita, qualche tempera e da una scrivania in uno studiolo di uno chalet svizzero… ecco che rimango affascinata da un così semplice e grande creativo !!!!

Closed at home by about twenty days because of flu, thanks to the library below the house, I picked up the most classic of the illustrators for children and WOW!
It had never happened to fun so much to read children’s books, how much irony, how acute drawing what sense of observation of a fantasy world … certain descriptions made us break out in great laughs and, let’s face it, how much you have to be astute to make children smile and adults together ???

but soon I will read everything and more about Busytown and Felicittà, the imaginary worlds that this author has created, so I expect more surprises.
If then I think, all born from a single pencil, some tempera and from a desk in a small study of a Swiss chalet … here I remain fascinated by so simple and great creative !!!!
