Mi sento spesso dire che i bambini “imbruttiscono” le case, o che è inutile arredare con cura una casa in cui poi abiteranno dei bambini.
Niente di più sbagliato. I nostri piccoli hanno bisogno di case ordinate e curate, esattamente come noi. Il disordine e l’incuria influiscono negativamente sul loro stato d’animo esattamente come avviene per noi. Inoltre più sono piccoli, più hanno un senso “puro” del bello, cioè non influenzato da agenti esterni come pubblicità o società.
Ricordo che in un cambio di stagione avevo tirato fuori una coperta lavorata ad uncinetto dalla mia nonna, una piccola opera d’arte artigianale, che solo le nostre nonne sapevano creare, un oggetto dalla bellezza e dalla rarità eccezionale, e mio figlio, che allora aveva 18 mesi, la abbracciò e mi disse “mamma che bella!” . Non solo aveva percepito la meraviglia per un oggetto colorato e accattivante, ma anche la sua dignità e il suo legame affettivo, senza che io spiegassi nulla…
Avete mai notato che interesse e che concentrazione hanno i bambini in un luogo ordinato, mentre invece diventano subito nervosi o agitati quando entrano in una stanza con decine di giochi sparsi ovunque sul pavimento?
Anche i luminari della pedagogia come Maria Montessori hanno speso interi capitoli a favore dell’ordine, della proporzione e della grazia che devono essere presenti nei luoghi in cui il bambino vive.
Allora quali possono essere le soluzioni in un’impresa che sembra impossibile:
1- eliminare le cataste di giochi ma tenerne in mostra 1 di ogni tipo ( es: 1 puzzle, 1 bambola e 1 casetta), quelli che metterete in un armadio potranno servirvi per la rotazione ogni qualvolta il bambino non mostri più interesse verso quelli esposti.
2- sistemarli con criterio e non accatastarli: molte ditte si organizzano con sistemi intelligenti
3- mettete qualche oggetto curioso in ogni stanza della vostra casa, soprattutto se i bambini sono piccoli hanno l’esigenza di seguirvi e non di stare confinati in un’ “area giochi”
4- ricordate di prestare attenzione agli oggetti che vi riguardano, infatti l’ordine e la cura sono contagiosi e presto i piccoli vi imiteranno
5- ABBELLITE le vostre case, anche senza spendere: raccogliete fiori, accendete una candela profumata per cena, appendete i bei disegni, stampate e incorniciate le fotografie più significative, riscoprite il piatto o la tovaglia che avevate dimenticato di avere …
